You have a will. They can only do with you what you are willing to have them do.

Question: So you are saying that aside from this shield, we are still independent minds and we can choose not to be over powered?

God’s answer:

Don’t succumb.

Question: I am getting that because of the boomerang effect, their preferred choice is to tempt us so we are the ones who harm each other rather them them using their powers to harm us?

God’s answer:

Marching orders
You do the dirty work for them. They are unaffected.

Question: To confirm strongly can you give a moral to this story, some bible passage, something That would confirm what you said and also include you in this whole picture?

God’s answer:

When he reached the territory of the Gadarenes on the other side, two demoniacs came towards him out of the tombs -- they were so dangerously violent that nobody could use that path.

Suddenly they shouted, 'What do you want with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before the time?'

Now some distance away there was a large herd of pigs feeding, and the devils pleaded with Jesus, 'If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.'

And he said to them, 'Go then,' and they came out and made for the pigs; and at that the whole herd charged down the cliff into the lake and perished in the water. (Matthew 8:28-32)

Meaning:

They have no dominion over creatures. I had to do it.
